Off With Her Head is a wordless, movement-driven spectacle inspired by Lewis Carol’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. In this surreal reimagining, our female heroine Alice battles shifting rooms, impossible rules, unrealistic expectations, and a Red Queen - part idol, part omen - who embodies every system that silences voices that should be heard. Bold, strange, and visually electric, the piece transforms the fight to claim space—and self—into a hypnotic, physical rebellion.

River’s Edge Theatre Co. presents a bold, imaginative re-telling of The Tempest with only two actors.
Two people are forced to leave their home. While they are packing and digging through old memories they rediscover a dusty old copy of their favorite play, The Tempest. Through use of found props, improvised costumes, and makeshift scenery magic ensues. Follow these characters through this epic story as they encounter the all too common themes of betrayal, displacement, revenge, and love. Part heartfelt family story, part imaginative storytelling explosion, this intimate, fast-paced, delightfully scrappy production reminds us that theatre’s greatest magic comes from people who dare to make something out of nothing.
Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Dive to the dark, shimmering depths of an ancient German folk tale in The Jaws of the Merman, an immersive synthesis of live music, voice, and imagery. Composer Jon Hatch commands a sea of analog and digital synths, weaving sound with prerecorded storytellers, whose voices narrate a tale of a small village by the water where all the young women mysteriously start to grow gills. Part concert, part radio play, part visual fever dream, The Jaws of the Merman invites audiences to surrender to sound and experience immersive storytelling like they never have before. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

A monthly play reading series

Join River's Edge Theatre Company for a monthly staged reading series that may or may not give local actors cold feet. Each month we will read a script in front of a live audience completely cold! No rehearsal. Just play. Sit back and listen as we dive into scripts for your theatrical merriment! Adults only, unless otherwise noted.
